Description: A Louisville police officer violated department policy by failing to turn on his body camera during an incident where golf star Scottie Scheffler was arrested near the PGA Championship. Scheffler was arrested and charged with assaulting an officer and other offenses after he allegedly drove past a police roadblock and injured an officer with his vehicle. There is no body camera footage of the incident because Detective Bryan Gillis did not turn his camera on despite it being department policy. Scheffler claims it was a misunderstanding during a chaotic situation following a fatal accident near the course that morning. Gillis wrote in a report that Scheffler refused orders to stop and dragged the detective while accelerating, injuring his wrist and knee.
