Description: Particle based trail fx is possibly more directable than actual fluid sims. Furthermore, in houdini, it could be even more controllable if you do some post processing for the particles in sop level.nBasically it's nothing more than deforming particles, but you can emulate things like dynamic winds, turbulent noises or even particle rotation along time with some attributes like age, life, mass, etc. This method lets you manipulate them interactively instead of resimulating the particles over and
