This incredible little sanctuary nestled in the lush, tropical forests of Puna Hawaii was unlike any sanctuary we had seen before. Rainbow Friends has faced its share of obstacles over the years. From hurricanes and flooding to volcanic eruptions as recent as last year. Rainbow Friends has been there for their community to take in local animals who have been abandoned or whose homes have been threatened by Mother Nature.
