At the same time, the coupe-style C40 will soon be called EC40. But while there's a new name, not much has changed other than a minor software-assisted power upgrade and the nifty Black Edition hardware level.<br/><br/>The EX40's interior is business as usual and remains unchanged compared to the current electric XC40 Recharge. Although Volvo has more recently developed the vertical 9.0-inch touchscreen to run on Android software, you get the same layout that this SUV has had since its original introduction; It enables built-in Google Maps, Google voice assistant and Play Store.<br/><br/>The screen remains largely intuitive, but the small buttons for highly critical controls like climate settings are difficult to use. While the overall look and layout remains smart, when seen next to Volvo's latest generation of cars (primarily the EX30) it starts to look a bit dated as its screen also looks quite small.<br/><br/>One thing you can't do without is the EX40's interior fit and finish. Although it's one of Volvo's cheaper models, the quality never feels that way due to an array of luxury materials used throughout. The Swedish firm has also ditched leather and adopted a range of sustainable alternative materials with its EX40 model. Our test car also has gorgeous wool cloth upholstery, giving it the feel of a more luxurious Scandinavian lounge rather than the interior of a compact SUV.<br/><br/>These seats play an important role in the overall feel of the EX40. We've spent a lot of time in XC40s over the years, and their seats are among the best on the market; offers plenty of power adjustments as well as an extendable seat base; Ideal for tall drivers.<br/><br/>Although theoretically no different from the XC40, we'll need more time to make a more definitive judgment on comfort with this newly updated Volvo.<br/><br/>Volvos are renowned for their safety, and there's little to suggest the EX40 will be any different. All of our time with the EX40 was spent on ice, but although there's no physical switch to turn off or reduce any of the electronic stability control aids, we'd say this is a car designed with safety rather than fun in mind.<br/><br/>The new EX40 will largely carry over the same two powertrains that have served the XC40 Recharge since its launch: a 238-hp single-motor, rear-wheel-drive model and a twin-motor, all-wheel-drive flagship model that produces a healthy 408 hp. .<br/><br/>But opt for the latter on the EX40 and you'll be able to add a new 'Performance' software upgrade that gives the engines an extra 34hp, bringing the total to a whopping 442hp. <br/> <br/>Source: https://www.parkers.co.uk/volvo/ex40/review/")

_updated-old-forester-in-japannew-subaru-sti-sport-black-interior-selection-2025.webp "STI Sport Black Interior Selection is now available for the Japanese-spec Subaru Forester.<br/><br/>The fifth-generation Subaru Forester continues to experience another model year in Japan with its carried over design and powertrains.<br/>Model year updates include the addition of the new STI Sport Black Interior Selection special edition.<br/>The US-spec Forester Wilderness' Geyser Blue is available only for Japan-spec X-Edition and XT-Edition models.<br/>Subaru may have introduced the new sixth generation of the Forester in North America, but Japanese buyers will have to make do with the current model, which has been on the market since 2018. The domestic version Forester will receive minor model year updates for 2024, including the new STI Sport. A Black Interior Select trim is available, adopting an all-black theme for the cabin.<br/><br/>The exterior of the SUV remains unchanged since its last facelift in 2021. However, Subaru aims to maintain buyer interest with new equipment and special versions. The company is introducing the Subaru Forester STI Sport Black Interior Selection special edition for the 2024 model year.<br/><br/>Based on the current STI Sport trim introduced in 2022, this version features a darker interior that combines Nappa leather upholstery for the seats with silver stitching and piano black inserts.<br/><br/>Additionally, the STI Sport Black Interior Selection can be combined with the exclusive Offshore Blue Metallic exterior colour. It does, however, feature a set of STI-tuned dampers, resulting in improved credential processing.<br/><br/>Another highlight of the 2024 MY is the Geyser Blue color, available exclusively for the X-Edition and XT-Edition trims. This is the same color used on the US-spec Subaru Forester Wilderness, first introduced in Japan in late 2022 with the XT-Edition.<br/><br/>Both the X-Edition and XT-Edition trims are equipped with waterproof upholstery, durable cargo floor lining and black interior accents. The main difference is that the Forester X-Edition gets the 2.0-litre e-Boxer hybrid powertrain, while the XT-Edition gets the more powerful 1.8-litre turbocharged engine. All trims of the Forester come standard with Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.<br/><br/>Pricing for the 2024 Subaru Forester in Japan starts at ¥3,069,000 ($20,040). As for special trims, the X-Edition starts at ¥3,377,000 ($22,051), the XT-Edition starts at ¥3,432,000 ($22,411), and the STI Sport Black Interior Select starts at ¥3,850,000 ($25,137).<br/><br/>This may be the last model year of the fifth-generation Subaru Forester in the Japanese market. Known as the Chevrolet S10 in Brazil, it has undergone a significant facelift for the 2025 model year, boasting a redesigned front fascia, overhauled interior, and various enhancements beneath the surface.<br/><br/>Beginning with the exterior, the standout feature is the entirely redesigned front fascia, which brings the aging S10 in line with Chevrolet’s current design language. The smaller LED headlights bear a striking resemblance to those found on the newer US-spec Colorado, though the grille and intakes are distinct to the Brazilian model. Additionally, the new face showcases body-colored trim on the base-spec LTZ, black accents on the Z71, and chrome detailing on the High Country trim.<br/><br/>The profile looks instantly recognizable, even though the front fenders are more sculpted than before. At the back, Chevrolet added a new pair of LEDs and a redesigned tailgate. The pickup was shown in the double-cab configuration, although single-cab and chassis-cab versions will follow soon.<br/><br/>The interior represents a significant upgrade over the outgoing model both in terms of looks and technology. An 8-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11-inch infotainment display closely match the setup found in the US-spec Colorado. Chevrolet doesn’t go into specifics but this is likely a fancy way of advertising new ECU software. In any case, the mill produces 204 hp (152 kW / 207 PS) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) of torque, figures slightly improved compared to its predecessor.<br/><br/>The updated engine is exclusively mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission sourced from the current US-spec Colorado, and specifically calibrated for the S10.
