To facilitate a comprehensive understanding, we have included accurate and eloquent translations in English and Urdu.<br/><br/>Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 240 (Arabic Recitation): “ وَٱلَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوۡنَ مِنكُمۡ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزۡوَٰجٗا وَصِيَّةٗ لِّأَزۡوَٰجِهِم مَّتَٰعًا إِلَى ٱلۡحَوۡلِ غَيۡرَ إِخۡرَاجٖۚ فَإِنۡ خَرَجۡنَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فِي مَا فَعَلۡنَ فِيٓ أَنفُسِهِنَّ مِن مَّعۡرُوفٖۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٞ ”<br/><br/>Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 240 (English Translation): “ And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind - for their wives is a bequest: maintenance for one year without turning [them] out. But if they leave [of their own accord], then there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in an acceptable way. And Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise. ”<br/><br/>Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 240 (Urdu Translation): “ جو لوگ تم میں سے فوت ہوجائیں اور بیویاں چھوڑ جائیں وه وصیت کر جائیں کہ ان کی بیویاں سال بھر تک فائده اٹھائیں انہیں کوئی نہ نکالے، ہاں اگر وه خود نکل جائیں تو تم پر اس میں کوئی گناه نہیں جو وه اپنے لئے اچھائی سے کریں، اللہ تعالیٰ غالب اور حکیم ہے۔ ”<br/><br/>The English translation by Saheeh International and the Urdu translation by Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi, both published by the renowned King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex (KFGQPC). And to forego it is nearer to righteousness. And do not forget graciousness between you.
